Hi, I’m Alice Vassallo.
I’m a Zookeeper and Conservationist with over 13 years in the animal industry. I’ve cared for all sorts of incredible creatures in my career, from turtles to tigers, including a stint in wildlife rehabilitation.
My role as Director of the “Keeper Educational Exchange Programme” (or KEEP) keeps me in contact with Zoos, NGOs, and conservation projects globally and I’m proud of the relationships that I’ve built with these impactful organisations.
I also have experience in the TV industry, having worked on set, filmed for the BBC on zoo cover stories over the years, and worked on shows including an episode of CBBC’s “One Zoo Three”. I’m a confident public speaker, not shy around a camera, and have written and pitched animal-related TV projects in the UK.
As someone with experience in both the wildlife world and the entertainment industry, I feel I’m an excellent guide to help you navigate your journey into wildlife conservation. I’m here to advise you on ethical practices, organisations, and messages to spread to your following while you pursue your passion in the nature space.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help.
My Approach
I see my role as a translator between two worlds.
Wildlife conservation can often feel difficult to navigate from the outside. There’s a lot of information to digest, and a lot of exploring your own morals when it comes to how we interact with animals.
I can help make understanding nature more accessible by breaking down the ethical nuances into something that feels approachable, all the while still respecting the important work being done.
A natural partnership
Through every step, I focus on staying true to your interests and values, and making space for thoughtful, lasting work in the conservation space.
Lasting impact
Together, we’ll build connections with your area of interest, always acting with integrity and respect.
